Reports from The Block and MacRumors brought some media frenzy this Wednesday, September 1 regarding a supposed test being made inside the Twitter platform to tip users with Bitcoin (BTC).

It started with a tweet from Alessandro Paluzzi, a mobile developer, who published an image of the alleged service being tested.

Using the image as a reference, reports say that Twitter has been using the Bitcoin Lightning Network App Strike to test the service for Bitcoin invoices.

The company CEO, Jack Dorsey, had stated before that he intended to use BTC as a tip to users on their production of content and also for Twitter’s products such as Subscriptions, Commerce and Super Follows.

Dorsey already has bitcoin in his businesses on his other company Square. He’s being supportive of the cryptocurrency and the expectation for more endorsement and investment from the Twitter mogul is huge.
