Billionaire Orlando Bravo says that “crypto is here to stay”
The co-founder and managing partner of Thoma Bravo endorsed cryptocurrencies in interview
In an interview given to CNBC’s Delivering Alpha 2021, the co-founder and managing partner of the equity’s firm Thoma Bravo, Orlando Bravo, said that “crypto is here to stay” and that he feels very bullish when it comes to his investments in Bitcoin.
Bravo endorsed the crypto universe with arguments about current transaction fees, exchange rates and also the devaluation of some fiat currencies around the world as reasons to ask ourselves “what’s not to like about crypto?” when it comes to solve all those issues.
“Crypto is just a great system. It’s frictionless. It’s decentralized. And young people want their own financial system. So, it is here to stay.”
Bravo’s company is considered one of the world’s largest private equity firms, with great numbers like the assets under management (AUM) of $83 billion. He also has already invested heavily in crypto funds in FTX’s $900-million Series B funding round.
The businessman’s statement is aligned with opinions such as Elon Musk’s that also is getting behind crypto. The Tesla mogul said in the Code Conference in California that “it is not possible to destroy crypto, but it is possible for governments to slow down its advancement”.
Great businessmen and investors standing for crypto is always a positive move because it gives an extra boost into the digital economy, adding more trustworthy opinions and giving people, entities and companies solid motives to try those new kinds of investment.
